This blog post has been due since quite sometime. I had written it about a month ago but I never got around to posting it. Anyway, so here it goes. Do share your views with me 🙂

Every year, as soon as 26th January or 15th August is upon  us, India transforms into a crowd of patriotic folks(or atleast they show that they are! ) who love to talk about how great their country is and what not.

Now, I am not against patriotism and display of affection for one’s own country but there’s another thing that really annoys me. Faking it. People who litter around everyday, don’t think twice before spitting in every nook and corner but as soon as 26th January or 15th August comes, they act super patriotic. These are the kind of people I find extremely annoying.
Why do you have to act like you love and care for your country one fine day when very clearly you don’t? Why act so two faced, concerned and try to trick people into believing you when you don’t care about India in reality?

It’s sad how noone cares about the country during other times and feels the need to fake emotions every year during these two days. Won’t it be better to care all year round?  What do you think? I’d love to know what you all think.
